We have a fun and engaging four step drill to help youth golfers develop a bunker shot. This is anthills.
Check out the video https://youtu.be/A9DzBm791gI

To start we are going to be outside the bunker.
Step #1 - Take some sand and make several small anthills on the grass.

Step #2 - Now that we have the anthill setup, have your youth golfer make a swing and destroy the ant hills without taking a big divot from the turf below step.

Step #3 - Replace the ant hills and then place a ball on top. We want the youth golfers not to worry about the ball. Just make the anthills disappear. If they do it correctly, the ball should only travel several feet.

Step #4 - Now we're going to move the ant hills into the bunker and place a ball on top but notice how much smaller the ant hills have become. Eventually, we will remove all of the anthills when the youth golfers become comfortable in the bunkers.

So try this drill it is a fun and engaging way for juniors to develop a bunker game.
